The health of our hair is very important, although the massive clump of hair on your head is dead, taking care of it is vital. I’ve accumulated some good tips to increase the longevity of your hair’s life. Let’s take a look shall we?
1: Don’t Wash Your Hair Everyday!
Washing your hair everyday is proven to strip away vital oils that are used to protect your tresses. The common recommendation for washing hair is 2-3 times a week. This will ensure that your hair wont get over-washed and potentially lose it’s color.
2: Wet Hair Is Fragile, Comb It Gently
As compared to hair that isn’t wet, wet hair is much more fragile and vulnerable. So make sure that when you comb your wet hair, treat it as if it were your newborn baby. Take a comb and run it gently through the entire length of your hair to avoid breakage.
3: Know What’s In Your Products
A lot of shampoo and conditioner bottles out there contain unwanted ingredients that can very badly damage your hair, ingredients like sulfates, alcohol, parabens… The list goes on. Try to minimize these ingredients in your products, as they are known to cause breakage, colour lose, dry scalp, you name it.
